Kased is a small village of 3639 hectares in Sapotra Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kased depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Kased is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kased's pin code is 322251[4], and village code is 01260100. The area of Kased is segregated as 45.16 hectares irrigated area, 465.61 hectares unirrigated, the 122.11 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 378.34 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kased has One post office (Kased B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Kased has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Kased is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2957 and has total administration over 541 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kased has 602 children, 312 boys and 290 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 781 (26.41%) males constitute 428 (14.47%) of the population and females 353 (11.94%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1491 (50.42%) males constitute 812 (27.46%) of the population and females 679 (22.96%).

The workforce is 862 male, 759 female with 815 (50.28%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 647 males and 168 females. 574 males and 159 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 female agricultural labor. 806 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Karauli to sell ghee and make their living.
