Kasnau is a small village of 1436 hectares in Jayal Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kasnau depends on Kuchera, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 77.05% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kasnau is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kasnau's pin code is 341030[4], and village code is 01796500. The area of Kasnau is segregated as 138.9 hectares irrigated area, 1209.2 hectares unirrigated, the 35.43 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 52.75 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kasnau is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2658 and has total administration over 531 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 521 (19.60%) males constitute 260 (9.78%) of the population and females 261 (9.82%).

The workforce is 676 male, 493 female with 704 (60.22%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 522 males and 182 females. 267 males and 90 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 156 male and 79 female agricultural labor. 465 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kuchera and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
