Kathoomar is a small village of 1217 hectares in Kathumar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kathoomar depends on KHERLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kathoomar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kathoomar's pin code is 321605[4], and village code is 00943300. The area of Kathoomar is segregated as 861 hectares irrigated area, 242 hectares unirrigated, the 14 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 100 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Kathoomar has One post office (Kathumar S.O) and One Hundred public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kathoomar has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Kathoomar is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 9480 and has total administration over 1680 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 4071 (42.94%) males constitute 2120 (22.36%) of the population and females 1951 (20.58%).

According to a census 2011 report, 4003 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 2500 male, 1503 female with 2683 (67.02%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 2097 males and 586 females. 580 males and 298 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 173 male and 30 female agricultural labor. 1320 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHERLI and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
