Kathoti is a small village of 5186 hectares in Jayal Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kathoti depends on Didwana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 51.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kathoti is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Kathoti's pin code is 341023[4], and village code is 01792800. The area of Kathoti is segregated as 51 hectares irrigated area, 3490 hectares unirrigated, the 570.01 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1074.97 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kathoti is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 7073 and has total administration over 1243 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 1463 (20.68%) males constitute 735 (10.39%) of the population and females 728 (10.29%).

The workforce is 1833 male, 1908 female with 1489 (39.8%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 959 males and 530 females. 492 males and 440 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 33 male and 41 female agricultural labor. 2252 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Didwana and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
