Katiyor is a small village of 162 hectares in Banswara Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Katiyor depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Katiyor is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Katiyor's pin code is 327026[4], and village code is 03427300. The area of Katiyor is segregated as 44 hectares irrigated area, 15 hectares unirrigated, the 30.26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 73 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Katiyor has One post office (Mahidam S.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Katiyor has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Katiyor is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1488 and has total administration over 307 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Katiyor has 216 children, 105 boys and 111 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 71 (4.77%) males constitute 43 (2.89%) of the population and females 28 (1.88%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 808 (54.30%) males constitute 416 (27.96%) of the population and females 392 (26.34%).

The workforce is 408 male, 311 female with 230 (31.99%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 200 males and 30 females. 56 males and 1 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male. 489 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
