Kawalai is a small village of 563 hectares in Ajmer Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kawalai depends on Pushkar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 82.99% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kawalai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Kawalai's pin code is 305021[4], and village code is 02503500. The area of Kawalai is segregated as 82.99 hectares irrigated area, 178.18 hectares unirrigated, the 151.13 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 151.04 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kawalai has One post office (Kanwalai B.O) and Eight public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kawalai has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kawalai is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1522 and has total administration over 294 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 172 (11.30%) males constitute 91 (5.98%) of the population and females 81 (5.32%).

The workforce is 367 male, 171 female with 437 (81.23%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 346 males and 91 females. 27 males and 2 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 77 male and 31 female agricultural labor. 101 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pushkar and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
