Keetap is a small village of 1242 hectares in Bhinay Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Keetap depends on Nasirabad, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 2.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Keetap is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Keetap's pin code is 305627[4], and village code is 02557800. The area of Keetap is segregated as 344.23 hectares irrigated area, 657.63 hectares unirrigated, the 139.65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 100 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Keetap has One post office (Kitap B.O) and One public telephone. Keetap has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Keetap is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1527 and has total administration over 292 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Keetap has 251 children, 130 boys and 121 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 277 (18.14%) males constitute 134 (8.78%) of the population and females 143 (9.36%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 138 (9.04%) males constitute 76 (4.98%) of the population and females 62 (4.06%).

According to a census 2011 report, 731 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 404 male, 327 female with 424 (58.0%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 263 males and 161 females. 152 males and 66 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male. 307 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nasirabad and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
