Keljer is a small village of 569 hectares in Chittaurgarh Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Keljer depends on Chittaurgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Keljer is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Keljer's pin code is 312022[4], and village code is 03602900. The area of Keljer is segregated as 33.84 hectares irrigated area, 65.02 hectares unirrigated, the 138.98 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 42.19 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Keljer has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Keljer is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 771 and has total administration over 180 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Keljer has 109 children, 48 boys and 61 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 79 (10.25%) males constitute 37 (4.80%) of the population and females 42 (5.45%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 196 (25.42%) males constitute 95 (12.32%) of the population and females 101 (13.10%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chittaurgarh and Chittorgarh to sell ghee and make their living.
