Kelnor is a small village of 3764 hectares in Chohtan Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kelnor depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kelnor is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kelnor's pin code is 344702[4], and village code is 02250900. The area of Kelnor is segregated as 1752 hectares unirrigated, the 531 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1481 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kelnor has One post office (Kelnoor B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kelnor has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kelnor is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1712 and has total administration over 325 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kelnor has 305 children, 164 boys and 141 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 296 (17.29%) males constitute 160 (9.35%) of the population and females 136 (7.94%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 536 (31.31%) males constitute 273 (15.95%) of the population and females 263 (15.36%).

The workforce is 492 male, 420 female with 633 (69.41%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 476 males and 157 females. 455 males and 13 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 142 female agricultural labor. 279 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
