Khanwas is a small village of 293 hectares in Dausa Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khanwas depends on Dausa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 164.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khanwas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khanwas's pin code is 303004[4], and village code is 01407300. The area of Khanwas is segregated as 164 hectares irrigated area, 67 hectares unirrigated, the 39.81 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 22 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Khanwas has One post office (Khanwas B.O) and Four public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Khanwas has Two banks and One credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Khanwas is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1461 and has total administration over 255 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Khanwas has 238 children, 144 boys and 94 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 37 (2.53%) males constitute 17 (1.16%) of the population and females 20 (1.37%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1272 (87.06%) males constitute 671 (45.93%) of the population and females 601 (41.14%).

The workforce is 356 male, 328 female with 629 (91.96%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 327 males and 302 females. 261 males and 277 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 7 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 55 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
