Kharana is a small village of 459 hectares in Jamwa Ramgarh Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kharana depends on Jaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 94.56% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kharana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kharana's pin code is 303109[4], and village code is 01604100. The area of Kharana is segregated as 94.56 hectares irrigated area, 198.19 hectares unirrigated, the 33.25 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 132.68 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Kharana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kharana is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1304 and has total administration over 220 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kharana has 235 children, 131 boys and 104 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 36 (2.76%) males constitute 19 (1.46%) of the population and females 17 (1.30%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 161 (12.35%) males constitute 86 (6.60%) of the population and females 75 (5.75%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaipur and Jaipur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
