Khari is a small village of 1485 hectares in Sayla Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khari depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khari is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Khari's pin code is 343042[4], and village code is 02271800. The area of Khari is segregated as 1042 hectares irrigated area, 379 hectares unirrigated, the 32 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 31.54 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Khari has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Khari has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Khari is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1992 and has total administration over 345 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Khari has 369 children, 208 boys and 161 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 200 (10.04%) males constitute 103 (5.17%) of the population and females 97 (4.87%).

The workforce is 658 male, 648 female with 563 (43.11%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 409 males and 154 females. 263 males and 143 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 45 males and 1 female agricultural labor. 743 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
