Khatoombar is a small village of 1329 hectares in Lalsot Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khatoombar depends on Lalsot, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khatoombar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khatoombar's pin code is 303511[4], and village code is 01421300. The area of Khatoombar is segregated as 160 hectares irrigated area, 75 hectares unirrigated, the 57 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 111 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Khatoombar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Khatoombar is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1965 and has total administration over 304 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Khatoombar has 338 children, 177 boys and 161 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 441 (22.44%) males constitute 233 (11.86%) of the population and females 208 (10.59%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 639 (32.52%) males constitute 339 (17.25%) of the population and females 300 (15.27%).

The workforce is 448 male, 304 female with 462 (61.44%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 382 males and 80 females. 324 males and 41 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 23 female agricultural labor. 290 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Lalsot and Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
