Khelna is a small village of 1147 hectares in Kotputli Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khelna depends on Kotputli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khelna is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khelna's pin code is 303106[4], and village code is 01457800. The area of Khelna is segregated as 689 hectares irrigated area, 273 hectares unirrigated, the 40.08 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 145 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Khelna has Six public telephones. Khelna has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Khelna is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5611 and has total administration over 941 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Khelna has 850 children, 451 boys and 399 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 728 (12.97%) males constitute 393 (7.0%) of the population and females 335 (5.97%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 536 (9.55%) males constitute 291 (5.19%) of the population and females 245 (4.37%).

The workforce is 1277 male, 881 female with 1694 (78.5%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1137 males and 557 females. 685 males and 403 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 34 male and 82 female agricultural labor. 464 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kotputli and Jaipur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
