Kherda is a small village of 222 hectares in Kushalgarh Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kherda depends on Kushalgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 13.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Kherda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kherda's pin code is 327801[4], and village code is 03507400. The area of Kherda is segregated as 102 hectares irrigated area, 17 hectares unirrigated, the 17 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 30 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kherda has One public telephone. Kherda has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kherda is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1146 and has total administration over 219 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kherda has 245 children, 128 boys and 117 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1142 (99.65%) males constitute 567 (49.48%) of the population and females 575 (50.17%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kushalgarh and Banswara to sell broom and make their living.
