Kheri is a small village of 875 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kheri depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 20.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Kheri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kheri's pin code is 313703[4], and village code is 03166400. The area of Kheri is segregated as 28 hectares irrigated area, 230 hectares unirrigated, the 160.66 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 425 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kheri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kheri is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1827 and has total administration over 419 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kheri has 264 children, 127 boys and 137 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 106 (5.80%) males constitute 52 (2.85%) of the population and females 54 (2.96%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 777 (42.53%) males constitute 397 (21.73%) of the population and females 380 (20.80%).

The workforce is 580 male, 511 female with 985 (90.28%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 549 males and 436 females. 206 males and 316 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 15 male and 13 female agricultural labor. 106 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
