Kherla is a small village of 301 hectares in Jhalrapatan Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kherla depends on Jhalrapatan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 178.32% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kherla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kherla's pin code is 326021[4], and village code is 04014800. The area of Kherla is segregated as 228.32 hectares irrigated area, 6.37 hectares unirrigated, the 34.88 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 20.84 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kherla is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 506 and has total administration over 90 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 28 (5.53%) males constitute 15 (2.96%) of the population and females 13 (2.57%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 37 (7.31%) males constitute 17 (3.36%) of the population and females 20 (3.95%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jhalrapatan and Jhalawar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
