Kherla is a small village of 358 hectares in Sawai Madhopur Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kherla depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kherla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kherla's pin code is 322001[4], and village code is 01262500. The area of Kherla is segregated as 156.25 hectares irrigated area, 157.81 hectares unirrigated, the 16.77 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 26.86 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Kherla has One post office (Pancholas B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Kherla has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Kherla is a census village in the district of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2156 and has total administration over 409 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 1382 (64.10%) males constitute 715 (33.16%) of the population and females 667 (30.94%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 104 (4.82%) males constitute 55 (2.55%) of the population and females 49 (2.27%).

The workforce is 538 male, 372 female with 373 (40.99%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 355 males and 18 females. 122 males and 6 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 61 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 537 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Sawai Madhopur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
