Kharwa is a small village of 2254 hectares in Beawar Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kharwa depends on Beawar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 531.98% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kharwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. According to a census 2011 report, 1300 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 910 male, 390 female with 850 (65.38%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 668 males and 182 females. 73 males and 27 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 111 male and 34 female agricultural labor. 450 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Beawar and Ajmer to sell ghee and make their living.
