Khoh is a small village of 1105 hectares in Deeg Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khoh depends on Deeg, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khoh is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khoh's pin code is 321203[4], and village code is 00999400. The area of Khoh is segregated as 210.94 hectares irrigated area, 867.45 hectares unirrigated, the 2.63 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 23.66 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Khoh has One post office (Khoh B.O) and Fifteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Khoh has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Khoh is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4645 and has total administration over 761 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Khoh has 934 children, 498 boys and 436 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 958 (20.62%) males constitute 508 (10.94%) of the population and females 450 (9.69%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 127 (2.73%) males constitute 70 (1.51%) of the population and females 57 (1.23%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2200 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1174 male, 1026 female with 897 (40.77%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 665 males and 232 females. 323 males and 84 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 53 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 1303 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Deeg and Bharatpur to sell bangles and make their living.
