Khojas is a small village of 1013 hectares in Didwana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khojas depends on Didwana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 221.73% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khojas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khojas's pin code is 341318[4], and village code is 01780900. The area of Khojas is segregated as 221.73 hectares irrigated area, 515.58 hectares unirrigated, the 213.4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 62.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Khojas has One post office (Khojas B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Khojas has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Khojas is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1949 and has total administration over 370 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Khojas has 264 children, 143 boys and 121 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 380 (19.50%) males constitute 204 (10.47%) of the population and females 176 (9.03%).

The workforce is 495 male, 296 female with 768 (97.09%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 479 males and 289 females. 315 males and 264 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 45 male and 13 female agricultural labor. 23 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Didwana and Nagaur to sell earthen pots and make their living.
