Khori is a small village of 725 hectares in Kishangarh Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khori depends on Pushkar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 80.12% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khori is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Khori's pin code is 305021[4], and village code is 02503400. The area of Khori is segregated as 117 hectares irrigated area, 189.11 hectares unirrigated, the 214.11 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 74 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Khori has One post office (Khori B.O) and Eleven public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Khori has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Khori is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1427 and has total administration over 330 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Khori has 181 children, 87 boys and 94 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 401 (28.10%) males constitute 204 (14.30%) of the population and females 197 (13.81%).

The workforce is 371 male, 214 female with 478 (81.71%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 321 males and 157 females. 119 males and 20 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 75 male and 67 female agricultural labor. 107 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pushkar and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
