Khuna is a small village of 1288 hectares in Kotra Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Khuna depends on Pindwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Khuna is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Khuna's pin code is 307025[4], and village code is 03099300. The area of Khuna is segregated as 11 hectares irrigated area, 71 hectares unirrigated, the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 446 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Khuna has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Khuna is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 926 and has total administration over 203 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Khuna has 191 children, 105 boys and 86 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 917 (99.03%) males constitute 471 (50.86%) of the population and females 446 (48.16%).

The workforce is 302 male, 307 female with 450 (73.89%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 274 males and 176 females. 269 males and 172 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 159 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pindwara and Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
