    Kieran Howe is a filmmaker and creative professional based in Glasgow, Scotland.[1] He has made significant contributions to the Scottish film and music scenes, both individually and through his involvement with various organisations and projects.[2][3][1]

    Career[edit]

    Kieran Howe has been actively involved in the Scottish film industry from a young age, contributing to various projects and initiatives. He notably served as chair of GMAC Film, a Glasgow-based organisation that nurtures emerging film and television talent. Reflecting on its influence on his career, Howe stated, "GMAC Film has done more for me than any other institution, school, or organisation in my life."[4]

    Additionally, Howe has been associated with the charity Into Film, which aims to educate young people about film and filmmaking. At the Into Film awards, he was honoured with the "One to Watch" filmmaker award by EON productions.[5]

    Howe served as the Director of photography for the film "What Separates Us From The Beasts," which won several Royal Television Society Awards.[6] He directed the trailer for the 2020 Glasgow Short Film Festival.[7] He has also been involved in the production of music videos, including the video for Gentle Sinners' single "Landfill," which was featured on NME.[2]

    He founded his own production company, Odd Socks Films, which later became known as Oddness.[3]
