Kodar is a small village of 471 hectares in Kumbhalgarh Tehsil in Rajsamand district, known for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kodar depends on UDAIPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kodar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kodar's pin code is 313325[4], and village code is 03010100. The area of Kodar is segregated as 26 hectares irrigated area, 40 hectares unirrigated, the 166.17 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 239.21 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kodar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kodar is a census village in the district of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 667 and has total administration over 176 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kodar has 109 children, 58 boys and 51 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 459 (68.82%) males constitute 221 (33.13%) of the population and females 238 (35.68%).

The workforce is 173 male, 223 female with 284 (71.72%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 167 males and 117 females. 39 males and 1 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 121 male and 114 female agricultural labor. 112 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of UDAIPUR and Rajsamand to sell juggary and make their living.
