Kodar is a small village of 755 hectares in Sanganer Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kodar depends on Bagru, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 605.73% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kodar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kodar's pin code is 303007[4], and village code is 01543600. The area of Kodar is segregated as 605.73 hectares irrigated area, 9.63 hectares unirrigated, the 117.07 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 22.33 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kodar is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1662 and has total administration over 223 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 574 (34.54%) males constitute 318 (19.13%) of the population and females 256 (15.40%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 113 (6.80%) males constitute 55 (3.31%) of the population and females 58 (3.49%).

The workforce is 411 male, 344 female with 658 (87.15%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 405 males and 253 females. 195 males and 160 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 80 male and 55 female agricultural labor. 97 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bagru and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
