Kohina is a small village of 6206 hectares in Taranagar Tehsil in Churu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kohina depends on TARANAGAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Kohina is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Canal. Kohina's pin code is 331304[4], and village code is 00575400. The area of Kohina is segregated as 6015.49 hectares unirrigated, the 78.89 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 111.49 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kohina has One post office (Kohina B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kohina has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Kohina is a census village in the district of Churu, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4396 and has total administration over 715 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 1199 male, 874 female with 2002 (96.58%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1171 males and 831 females. 999 males and 814 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 13 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 71 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of TARANAGAR and Churu to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
