Kohlya is a small village of 207 hectares in Chaksu Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kohlya depends on Chaksu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kohlya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kohlya's pin code is 303908[4], and village code is 01651100. The area of Kohlya is segregated as 116.2 hectares irrigated area, 57.5 hectares unirrigated, the 15.79 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 17.97 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Kohlya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kohlya is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1147 and has total administration over 175 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kohlya has 201 children, 89 boys and 112 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 467 (40.71%) males constitute 225 (19.62%) of the population and females 242 (21.10%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 383 (33.39%) males constitute 202 (17.61%) of the population and females 181 (15.78%).

The workforce is 284 male, 258 female with 503 (92.8%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 279 males and 224 females. 78 males and 88 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 67 male and 113 female agricultural labor. 39 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chaksu and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
