Kohni is a small village of 612 hectares in Chhipabarod Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kohni depends on Chhabra, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 47.92% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kohni is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kohni's pin code is 325221[4], and village code is 03959200. The area of Kohni is segregated as 408.21 hectares irrigated area, 88.25 hectares unirrigated, the 86.22 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 29.33 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kohni is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1440 and has total administration over 272 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 234 (16.25%) males constitute 120 (8.33%) of the population and females 114 (7.92%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chhabra and Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
