Kolana is a small village of 400 hectares in Baswa Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kolana depends on Bandikui, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 198.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kolana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kolana's pin code is 303313[4], and village code is 01347500. The area of Kolana is segregated as 198 hectares irrigated area, 90 hectares unirrigated, the 70 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 41.87 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kolana has One post office (Kolana B.O) and Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kolana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kolana is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2894 and has total administration over 511 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kolana has 477 children, 242 boys and 235 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 449 (15.51%) males constitute 244 (8.43%) of the population and females 205 (7.08%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1108 (38.29%) males constitute 565 (19.52%) of the population and females 543 (18.76%).

The workforce is 804 male, 724 female with 749 (49.02%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 618 males and 131 females. 195 males and 53 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 56 male and 53 female agricultural labor. 779 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bandikui and Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
