Kolari is a small village of 390 hectares in Sepau Tehsil in Dholpur district, also known as the land of red stone in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kolari depends on DHAULPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kolari is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kolari's pin code is 328023[3], and village code is 01143700. The area of Kolari is segregated as 298 hectares irrigated area, 52 hectares unirrigated, the 5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 35 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kolari has One post office (Kolari B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Kolari has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Kolari is a census village in the district of Dholpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3200 and has total administration over 435 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kolari has 641 children, 357 boys and 284 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 630 (19.69%) males constitute 327 (10.22%) of the population and females 303 (9.47%).

Employment[edit]

The workforce is 947 male, 786 female with 640 (36.93%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 582 males and 58 females. 350 males and 15 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 151 male and 22 female agricultural labor. 1093 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of DHAULPUR and Dholpur to sell earthen pots and make their living.
