Korta is a small village of 1354 hectares in Sumerpur Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Korta depends on Sumerpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 417.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Korta is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Korta's pin code is 306901[4], and village code is 02472600. The area of Korta is segregated as 527 hectares irrigated area, 36 hectares unirrigated, the 133 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 658 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Korta has One post office (Korta B.O) and Sixty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Korta has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Korta is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2771 and has total administration over 651 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Korta has 373 children, 191 boys and 182 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 696 (25.12%) males constitute 346 (12.49%) of the population and females 350 (12.63%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 427 (15.41%) males constitute 214 (7.72%) of the population and females 213 (7.69%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sumerpur and Pali to sell shoes and make their living.
