Kotra is a small village of 920 hectares in Raniwara Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kotra depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kotra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kotra's pin code is 343040[4], and village code is 02281800. The area of Kotra is segregated as 116 hectares irrigated area, 612 hectares unirrigated, the 57.65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 134.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kotra is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1294 and has total administration over 255 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 453 (35.01%) males constitute 233 (18.01%) of the population and females 220 (17.0%).

According to a census 2011 report, 626 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 298 male, 328 female with 366 (58.47%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 279 males and 87 females. 85 males and 5 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 70 male and 43 female agricultural labor. 260 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
