Kumari is a small village of 1860 hectares in Nagaur Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kumari depends on Nagaur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kumari is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kumari's pin code is 341021[4], and village code is 01807500. The area of Kumari is segregated as 48.06 hectares irrigated area, 1449.09 hectares unirrigated, the 33.05 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 330.16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kumari has One post office (Kumari B.O) and Twenty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kumari has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kumari is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 8525 and has total administration over 1277 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kumari has 1626 children, 811 boys and 815 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 712 (8.35%) males constitute 352 (4.13%) of the population and females 360 (4.22%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 7 (0.08%) males constitute 2 (0.02%) of the population and females 5 (0.06%).

Employment[edit]

According to a census 2011 report, 2426 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1922 male, 504 female with 1384 (57.05%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1286 males and 98 females. 226 males and 36 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 108 male and 41 female agricultural labor. 1042 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nagaur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
