Kundal is a small village of 3651 hectares in Phalodi Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kundal depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kundal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kundal's pin code is 342301[4], and village code is 01920600. The area of Kundal is segregated as 585.18 hectares irrigated area, 1886.2 hectares unirrigated, the 101.15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1078.23 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kundal has One post office (Bithdi B.O) and Eight public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kundal has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kundal is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2327 and has total administration over 363 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kundal has 464 children, 229 boys and 235 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 713 (30.64%) males constitute 374 (16.07%) of the population and females 339 (14.57%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 216 (9.28%) males constitute 107 (4.60%) of the population and females 109 (4.68%).

The workforce is 768 male, 236 female with 969 (96.51%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 749 males and 220 females. 181 males and 103 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 251 male and 111 female agricultural labor. 35 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phalodi and Jodhpur to sell woolen blanket and make their living.
