Kurdistan Bar Association (Previously known as Kurdistan Lawyers Union) (سەندیکای پارێزەرانی کوردستان) is a professional organization that represents the interests of lawyers and the legal profession within the Kurdistan Region, it consists of all Kurdistan Lawyers and a lot of other regional neighbor Lawyers.[2]KBA is part of the International Bar Association[3] and International Association of Lawyers,[4] it currently has 5 branches all over Kurdistan.

History[edit]

The Kurdistan Bar Association (KBA) was founded in (1993),[2] amidst a period of significant political and social transformation in the Kurdistan Region. The establishment of the KBA marked a pivotal moment in the regions legal history, providing a structured and unified body to represent legal professionals. Since its inception, the KBA has grown in membership and influence by reaching to 12413 members and reflecting the legal landscape of Kurdistan.[5]
