Kurki is a small village of 2182 hectares in Jaitaran Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kurki depends on Merta, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 602.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kurki is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kurki's pin code is 306101[4], and village code is 02397100. The area of Kurki is segregated as 720.49 hectares irrigated area, 412.35 hectares unirrigated, the 320.94 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 695.21 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kurki has One post office (Kurki B.O) and Thirty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kurki has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kurki is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4132 and has total administration over 806 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 953 (23.06%) males constitute 474 (11.47%) of the population and females 479 (11.59%).

The workforce is 1184 male, 951 female with 970 (45.43%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 814 males and 156 females. 338 males and 76 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 90 male and 26 female agricultural labor. 1165 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Merta and Pali to sell earthen pot and make their living.
