Kushtala is a small village of 2574 hectares in Sawai Madhopur Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kushtala depends on SAWAI MADHOPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 217.21% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kushtala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kushtala's pin code is 322001[4], and village code is 01320900. The area of Kushtala is segregated as 1094.82 hectares irrigated area, 1115.68 hectares unirrigated, the 152.96 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 210.9 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kushtala has One post office (Kustala B.O) and Forty Nine public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kushtala has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kushtala is a census village in the district of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 7406 and has total administration over 1388 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kushtala has 1158 children, 568 boys and 590 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 2092 (28.25%) males constitute 1102 (14.88%) of the population and females 990 (13.37%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 691 (9.33%) males constitute 341 (4.60%) of the population and females 350 (4.73%).

According to a census 2011 report, 3354 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1977 male, 1377 female with 2652 (79.07%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1746 males and 906 females. 920 males and 744 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 95 male and 58 female agricultural labor. 702 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sawai Madhopur to sell bricks and make their living.
