Lahan is a small village of 755 hectares in Tonk Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lahan depends on Tonk, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 230.68% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lahan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Lahan's pin code is 304001[4], and village code is 02636700. The area of Lahan is segregated as 348.02 hectares irrigated area, 130.56 hectares unirrigated, the 89.62 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 186.95 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Lahan has One public telephone. Lahan has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Lahan is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1517 and has total administration over 278 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Lahan has 220 children, 117 boys and 103 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 482 (31.77%) males constitute 250 (16.48%) of the population and females 232 (15.29%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 91 (6.0%) males constitute 44 (2.90%) of the population and females 47 (3.10%).

The workforce is 393 male, 383 female with 755 (97.29%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 381 males and 374 females. 189 males and 231 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 79 male and 120 female agricultural labor. 21 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
