Lalana is a small village of 240 hectares in Kotputli Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lalana depends on Kotputli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 90.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lalana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lalana's pin code is 303106[4], and village code is 01457300. The area of Lalana is segregated as 200 hectares irrigated area, 10 hectares unirrigated, remaining 30 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Lalana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Lalana is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2106 and has total administration over 324 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Lalana has 404 children, 215 boys and 189 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 194 (9.21%) males constitute 102 (4.84%) of the population and females 92 (4.37%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 152 (7.22%) males constitute 82 (3.89%) of the population and females 70 (3.32%).

The workforce is 503 male, 248 female with 691 (92.01%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 466 males and 225 females. 215 males and 208 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 10 males. 60 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kotputli and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
