Lalas is a small village of 911 hectares in Gangrar Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lalas depends on Chittaurgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lalas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Lalas's pin code is 312901[4], and village code is 03541600. The area of Lalas is segregated as 146.85 hectares irrigated area, 150.15 hectares unirrigated, the 473.92 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 140.23 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Lalas has One public telephone. Lalas has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Lalas is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1224 and has total administration over 282 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Lalas has 180 children, 99 boys and 81 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 138 (11.27%) males constitute 62 (5.07%) of the population and females 76 (6.21%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 52 (4.25%) males constitute 22 (1.80%) of the population and females 30 (2.45%).

The workforce is 368 male, 293 female with 588 (88.96%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 359 males and 229 females. 258 males and 210 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 10 female agricultural labor. 73 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chittaurgarh and Chittorgarh to sell ghee and make their living.
