Lalrai is a small village of 1195 hectares in Bali Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lalrai depends on Sadri, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 51.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lalrai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Lalrai's pin code is 306705[4], and village code is 02478200. The area of Lalrai is segregated as 66 hectares irrigated area, 899 hectares unirrigated, the 136 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 93.57 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Lalrai has One post office (Lalrai B.O) and Ten public telephones. Lalrai has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Lalrai is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2124 and has total administration over 437 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Lalrai has 330 children, 180 boys and 150 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 541 (25.47%) males constitute 267 (12.57%) of the population and females 274 (12.90%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 176 (8.29%) males constitute 86 (4.05%) of the population and females 90 (4.24%).

The workforce is 471 male, 420 female with 437 (49.05%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 299 males and 138 females. 111 males and 98 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 19 male and 12 female agricultural labor. 454 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sadri and Pali to sell ghee and make their living.
