Lapala is a small village of 505 hectares in Tijara Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lapala depends on TIJARA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lapala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lapala's pin code is 301411[4], and village code is 00812600. The area of Lapala is segregated as 192 hectares irrigated area, 154 hectares unirrigated, the 9 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 27 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Lapala has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Lapala is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2294 and has total administration over 339 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Lapala has 574 children, 281 boys and 293 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 291 (12.69%) males constitute 141 (6.15%) of the population and females 150 (6.54%).

The workforce is 644 male, 672 female with 742 (56.38%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 503 males and 239 females. 370 males and 205 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 33 male and 14 female agricultural labor. 574 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of TIJARA and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
