Lawa is a small village of 5162 hectares in Malpura Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lawa depends on Malpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lawa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lawa's pin code is 304504[4], and village code is 02595500. The area of Lawa is segregated as 1026 hectares irrigated area, 3158 hectares unirrigated, the 495 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 483 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Lawa has One post office (Lawa B.O) and Fifty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Lawa has One bank and One credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Lawa is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 6799 and has total administration over 1319 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Lawa has 1009 children, 527 boys and 482 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 1649 (24.25%) males constitute 838 (12.33%) of the population and females 811 (11.93%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 482 (7.09%) males constitute 244 (3.59%) of the population and females 238 (3.50%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2785 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1775 male, 1010 female with 1895 (68.04%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1469 males and 426 females. 496 males and 200 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 94 male and 81 female agricultural labor. 890 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Malpura and Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
