Lordi is a small village of 1480 hectares in Dudu (Hq. Mauzamabad) Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Lordi depends on Bagru, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Lordi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Lordi's pin code is 303009[4], and village code is 01523800. The area of Lordi is segregated as 53.42 hectares irrigated area, 1201.94 hectares unirrigated, the 148.12 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 76.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Lordi has One post office (Dhamana B.O) and One public telephone. Lordi has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Lordi is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1864 and has total administration over 323 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Lordi has 256 children, 120 boys and 136 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 635 (34.07%) males constitute 323 (17.33%) of the population and females 312 (16.74%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 61 (3.27%) males constitute 33 (1.77%) of the population and females 28 (1.50%).

The workforce is 489 male, 439 female with 661 (71.23%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 409 males and 252 females. 210 males and 178 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 5 male and 8 female agricultural labor. 267 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bagru and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
