Mada is a small village of 810 hectares in Gogunda Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mada depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Mada is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mada's pin code is 313705[4], and village code is 03082800. The area of Mada is segregated as 32 hectares irrigated area, 278 hectares unirrigated, the 105 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 305 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mada is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1973 and has total administration over 436 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Mada has 397 children, 213 boys and 184 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 112 (5.68%) males constitute 61 (3.09%) of the population and females 51 (2.58%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 983 (49.82%) males constitute 504 (25.54%) of the population and females 479 (24.28%).

The workforce is 601 male, 545 female with 978 (85.34%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 564 males and 414 females. 396 males and 303 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 57 male and 106 female agricultural labor. 168 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
