Madhopura is a small village of 5996 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Madhopura depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Madhopura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Madhopura's pin code is 345026[4], and village code is 02054700. The area of Madhopura is segregated as 1852 hectares unirrigated, the 4108 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Madhopura is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1175 and has total administration over 197 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell ghee and make their living.
