Mailana is a small village of 3070 hectares in Bhopalgarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mailana depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mailana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mailana's pin code is 342603[4], and village code is 01948500. The area of Mailana is segregated as 446 hectares irrigated area, 1900 hectares unirrigated, the 119 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 605 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mailana has One post office (Mailana B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Mailana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Mailana is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3404 and has total administration over 619 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Mailana has 555 children, 289 boys and 266 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 674 (19.80%) males constitute 351 (10.31%) of the population and females 323 (9.49%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 12 (0.35%) males constitute 6 (0.18%) of the population and females 6 (0.18%).

The workforce is 928 male, 889 female with 1492 (82.11%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 865 males and 627 females. 791 males and 582 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 31 male and 36 female agricultural labor. 325 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
