Mainpura is a small village of 897 hectares in Udaipurwati Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mainpura depends on KHETRI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mainpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Mainpura's pin code is 333053[4], and village code is 00747500. The area of Mainpura is segregated as 640 hectares irrigated area, 88 hectares unirrigated, the 19 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 150 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mainpura has One post office (Mainpura B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Mainpura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Mainpura is a census village in the district of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1707 and has total administration over 301 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Mainpura has 222 children, 127 boys and 95 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 210 (12.30%) males constitute 107 (6.27%) of the population and females 103 (6.03%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 139 (8.14%) males constitute 71 (4.16%) of the population and females 68 (3.98%).

The workforce is 457 male, 354 female with 427 (52.65%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 375 males and 52 females. 221 males and 29 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 7 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 384 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHETRI and Jhunjhunu to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
