Majal is a small village of 1857 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Majal depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 145.76% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Majal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Majal's pin code is 344021[4], and village code is 02168000. The area of Majal is segregated as 337.26 hectares irrigated area, 1260.25 hectares unirrigated, the 146.98 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 112.3 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Majal has One post office (Majal B.O) and Fifteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Majal has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Majal is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3598 and has total administration over 665 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Majal has 594 children, 327 boys and 267 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 882 (24.51%) males constitute 448 (12.45%) of the population and females 434 (12.06%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 302 (8.39%) males constitute 162 (4.50%) of the population and females 140 (3.89%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1703 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 930 male, 773 female with 1450 (85.14%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 912 males and 538 females. 480 males and 105 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 171 male and 232 female agricultural labor. 253 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
